Please read all rules carefully before registering. Participation implies full acceptance of these guidelines.

Competition Structure

  • The competition is conducted across multiple progressive stages.
  • Stage 1 — Free Auditions: Open to all registered participants. Evaluated on core talent, rhythm, expression, and stage presence.
  • Stage 2 — District Semi-Finals: Shortlisted candidates from auditions advance to semi-finals.
  • Stage 3 — District Finals: Top performers compete for district-level titles and advancement.
  • Further rounds including Regional and Grand Finals may be conducted based on participation and scale.
  • The organising committee reserves the right to modify, add, or restructure rounds with prior notice to participants.

Audition Format

Auditions are FREE and designed to evaluate raw talent — not polished production. Focus on expressing your authentic ability.

  • Judges reserve the right to stop a performance once sufficient evaluation is completed.
  • In case of high participation, audition duration may be adjusted with prior notice.
  • Participants must report to the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled slot.
  • Late arrivals may forfeit their audition slot without refund of any pre-paid fees.

Music & Backing Tracks
  • Backing tracks must be submitted to the organiser at least 48 hours before the performance date.
  • Tracks must be provided in MP3 format (minimum 192kbps) on a USB drive or via the designated upload link.
  • Live musical accompaniment is permitted in the Singing category — accompanist details must be declared at registration.
  • Explicit, offensive, or age-inappropriate content in music tracks is strictly prohibited.
Costumes & Props
  • Costumes must be age-appropriate and culturally respectful.
  • Props are permitted but must not damage the stage surface or pose safety risks.
  • All props must be declared at the time of registration.
  • Fire, liquids, confetti, or any hazardous materials are strictly not permitted on stage.
  • Costume changes during a performance are allowed within the allotted time.
⚠️ Time violations: Exceeding the maximum time limit may result in point deductions at the judges' discretion. Performances significantly under the minimum time may also be penalised.

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to participants from UAE, India, and Qatar.
  • Age is calculated as of the competition date. Participants must fit within their declared age group at the time of the event.
  • Participants may enter more than one category. Fees apply per category.
  • There is no nationality restriction — participants of any nationality residing in UAE, India, or Qatar are eligible.
  • Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the venue.

Judging & Scoring

  • Judging panels are composed of industry professionals, performing arts experts, and experienced practitioners.
  • All performances are judged independently — scores in one category have no bearing on another.
  • Judging criteria include: Technique, Expression, Rhythm & Timing, Stage Presence, and Overall Impression.
  • Judges' decisions are final and binding. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained regarding scores or results.
  • Scores are tabulated by a neutral third party and verified before announcement.
  • In the event of a tie, a designated tiebreaker criterion (as determined by the panel) will be applied.
ℹ️ Rhythm Rise is committed to complete transparency in judging. Judges are selected without conflicts of interest, and no judge may evaluate a participant they have a direct relationship with.

Code of Conduct

  • All participants, guardians, and accompanying members must maintain respectful and professional conduct throughout the event.
  • Any form of harassment, intimidation, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Participants must not approach judges directly at any time before, during, or after the competition.
  • Recording of other participants' performances without explicit consent is not permitted.
  • Plagiarism or imitation of another artist's signature choreography or style without credit may lead to disqualification.
  • The organising committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant for conduct deemed inappropriate or disrespectful.

Fees & Refunds

  • Auditions are completely free — no payment required at the audition stage.
  • Registration fees are applicable from the Semi-Finals stage onwards.
  • Fees for multiple categories are added together — no discounts for combined entries.
  • No refunds will be issued once registration is confirmed and payment is processed, except in cases of event cancellation by the organiser.
  • In the event of organiser-initiated cancellation, full refunds will be processed within 14 working days.
  • India fees will be announced closer to the event date.

Media & Rights

  • By registering, participants grant Rhythm Rise the right to photograph and video-record their performances for promotional, archival, and broadcast purposes.
  • Recorded content may be used on Rhythm Rise's website, social media channels, press materials, and future promotional content.
  • Participants retain the right to share their own performance footage on personal channels.
  • Any media featuring minors will be handled in accordance with child protection guidelines and will require explicit parental consent.
  • Participants shall not make any unauthorised commercial use of the Rhythm Rise name, logo, or brand.

General

  • Registration constitutes full acceptance of all rules and regulations listed here.
  • Rhythm Rise reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Participants will be notified of material changes.
  • The organiser is not responsible for personal loss, injury, or damage to property during the event.
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.) may result in rescheduling or cancellation without liability.
